DJ ABBY KLEIN
Abby has been DJ-ing since the 90's worldwide in both clubs and at special events, and everything in between.
As her DJ work escalated, she co founded play something good, a highly successful bespoke NYC-based niche DJ booking company which was founded in 2009. As the company ran and thrived for more than a decade up until the restrictions of 2020, it was scaled back in the ensuing years to accommodate other exciting work endeavors which naturally evolved and were welcomed after so many decades in nightlife!
Abby still happily DJ's alongside her bodywork practice and will never stop! Good Move is the natural evolution of these many skilled seasons of being a DJ
Meet Abby
Abby Klein is a New York and Philly-based, Philly-born and raised veteran DJ who is versatile and embraces fun and originality. As a respected DJ for many years, she has played an enormous range of parties, clubs, fashion shows, and events which have required serious knowledgeability spanning every possible genre of music. As is evident from her vast CV, she is just as comfortable playing at a highly specific and conceptual art opening as she is in a packed club, a rural Jamaican bar, or onstage opening for a legendary band. She works closely to understand the vision for a party or event and builds upon that, reading the crowd and keeping the party rocking, smooth, and seamless.
She has an enormous library of music, new and old, and strives for the best sound quality and most versatility. Her approach is just that subtle difference of someone who truly loves the music and started DJing on vinyl...as opposed to the ubiquitous iPad jockey DJs that seem to be everywhere these days. She values the balance between attention to detail and spontaneity. She additionally has worked with hundreds of couples for weddings in which a more bespoke and personal flavor is desired and has a ridiculous amount of very special weddings under her belt where flawless execution has been matched with a kind and fun manner that is unmatched.
